Trent has over two decades of experience working with numerous institutional investment platforms as the independent engineer supporting infrastructure investment due diligence. Trent’s experience spans across the energy, power, fuels, waste, and recycling sectors. His areas of expertise include technology risk, construction risk, operational risk, and validating the eligibility of projects for non-recourse debt. To date, Trent has been involved in over 85 gigawatts of power projects and 2 billion gallons annually of sustainable fuel projects.
Trent previously held roles as an independent engineer and led business development activities at GE, RW Beck, the Harris Group, and Mott MacDonald.
Trent serves as Lieef’s Chief Engineer and operating partner. Trent also runs his own independent engineering practice, PF Engineers.
Trent earned a BS from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a MS from Union College in Mechanical Engineering.
