Trent brings over two decades of experience as a lead independent engineer across energy, power, fuels, waste, and recycling sectors, with earlier engineering roles at GE, R.W. Beck, Harris Group, and Mott MacDonald. His expertise spans technology risk validation, operating assumption review, construction management, and contract review.
He has been involved in over 118 gigawatts of power projects and 2.5 billion gallons annually of sustainable fuel projects, providing the technical diligence that institutional investors rely on to underwrite infrastructure at scale.
Trent worked directly with Lieef's founder at BlackRock on multiple transactions and has supported Lieef since inception. He serves as an in-house independent engineer, reducing transaction execution risk and mitigating operating risk across the portfolio.
He holds a BS from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Union College.
