Brad founded Lieef to institutionalize a repeatable pattern he has executed across three platforms: identify proven infrastructure technology trapped in a capital markets gap, build the missing contract structure, and unlock institutional capital.
At BlackRock, he helped build one of the world's largest renewable infrastructure platforms from zero; the platform deployed $1.5B of equity across 20 investments (~$10B enterprise value). He redefined how the renewable energy industry borrows against project cash flows, structuring the same financing seven times until it became the market standard.
At Cowen, he designed the first institutional financing framework for EV charging: a contract structure converting fleet charging into a grid stability mechanism. California regulators approved $436M to pilot the framework — the largest utility EV program in the U.S.
He also served as Interim CEO of Loop Global, an EV charging operator, leading a successful operational and financial turnaround.
He holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University.
